Jericho Agro-Industrial City (JAIP) hosts U.S. Special Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt

On Sunday October 15, Jericho Agro Industrial Park Company (JAIPCo) along with the Palestinian Industrial Estates and Free Zone Authority (PIEFZA), in coordination with the Japanese representative office in Palestine, received U.S. Special Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt.  The meeting was also attended by H.E Japanese Ambassador Takishi Okubo and the United States Consul General in Jerusalem Donald Blome, along with their accompanying delegations.  The visit is considered the first of its kind for Mr. Greenblatt and was aimed at discussing the economic developments related to JAIP.

 

The US delegation was received by Dr. Ali Shaath, Director General of PIEFZA, as well as Mr. Khalid Amleh, PIEFZA Operations Manager.  Attendees from the JAIP development company included Chairman Bassam Walweel, Executive Board Members Mr. Said Dwaikat and Mr. Amir Dajani, General Manager Naser Attyani, and representatives from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

 

JAIP executives thanked Special Representative Greenblatt for his interest in and visit to JAIP.  They reaffirmed their appreciation for the U.S. government’s role in international development and its work in Palestine.
